Anticipation was mixed with anxiety as we introduced our new 4-piece models of the LPXe during last season. Were they going to be accepted as well as the 3-piece best-sellers had been for years? Now we know… these new rods have won best in test in the world’s largest fly fishing magazine for both the 9’ 5-wt and the 15’ 10/11-wt models - the best acknowledgements one can receive. The LPXe series continues to bring extraordinary value for money. New for 2009 is a 10’ 6-wt, suitable for reservoir rainbows, sea trout and grilse.

LPXe blanks are produced in high modulus graphite, containing several special graphite blends for each model. These rods are lightweight and strong. Featuring a natural and rough graphite blank that is nothing but hardcore. Rods in lineweight 3 to 5 are equipped with snake guides and lightweight reelseats with beautiful wooden insert, while the heavier rods feature single leg hard chrome guides and our tough Guideline aluminum reelseats in a gun-smoke finish. A5 cork has been used for the handles and the stripper guides have Hardloy. All rods come in a Cordura tube with cloth bag for the rod.
